PopulationAustin saw growth from 2000-2008 of 32%, according to the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Austin MSA, in 2008, had an approximate, 1.6+million people. The 1990's saw a 48% increase in population. Austin is anticipating more growth for 2010 due to the fact that Austin remains one of the top cities for migrating talent.
